Third Angle is Hiring a Communications Coordinator

Title: Communications Coordinator
Position/Status: Part-time/non-exempt
Reports to: Executive Director
Location: Portland, OR

Position Summary

Third Angle New Music, Portland’s leading contemporary chamber ensemble, seeks a 30-hour-per-week assistant for communications, clerical, and administrative support to the Executive Director, Artistic Director, and board.

Responsibilities

  • Update and manage website
  • Coordinate marketing communications; assist in developing messaging and media as requested
  • Assist in developing and producing printed and electronic communications including concert programs, promotional materials, and social media
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of concerts, special events, and board and committee meetings
  • Update and manage database(s)
  • Administer all concert and event ticketing
  • Coordinate donor communications
  • Prepare artist contracts for review
  • Organize and coordinate volunteers for concerts and special events
  • Organize and coordinate on-site ticketing, signage, and promotional presentations for concerts and other events
  • Other duties as requested by Executive Director  

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; exemplary written and oral communication skills; computer proficiency, social media fluency and basic HTML knowledge; professional demeanor; excellent organizational and time management skills, with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy; ability to work independently and in a small team environment; availability to work evenings and weekends for concerts and special events; able to lift 25lbs.

Preferred: prior experience with performing arts and/or non-profit organizations; experience with InDesign; enthusiasm and resourcefulness; valid driver’s license with access to a car.

Compensation and Benefits

$17-19/hour depending upon experience. Telecommuting and flextime negotiable.
