FEbruary 11, 2027 / 6:30PM, 8:30PM
Winter Light Festival / Location TBA
In the glow of Third Angle presents Missy Mazzoli’s Vespers for a New Dark Age, plus Rose City Brass Quintet and world premiere commission by Portland composer and recently-named Guggenheim Fellow Oswald Huỳnh. In Mazzolli’s electrified and distorted take on the traditional Vespers prayer service she replaces sacred text with fragments of poetry by Matthew Zapruder which explore the way we confront technology, ghosts, death, doubt and God in our "new dark age."
